FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027 in the UAE, with Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March. The exact dates depend on the moon sighting, so check the official announcement closer to the time.

There are three common options. A light session in the last hour before iftar, so you can eat and drink soon after. A full strength session 1.5 to 2 hours after iftar, once the meal has settled. Or a short session after taraweeh for people who sleep late. Your coach picks one with you, based on your energy, work and prayer times.

Keep strength training, at a lighter load than usual, so you hold on to muscle. Long or hard cardio while fasting is where most people feel dizzy, so we keep cardio short and easy, or move it after iftar. Stop if you feel faint, and tell your coach.

At iftar: dates and water first, then a proper meal with a protein food such as chicken, fish, eggs, paneer, dal or chana, plus vegetables and a measured portion of rice or roti. Keep samosa or pakora to a planned piece. At suhoor: eggs or dahi with oats, a paratha or roti, and water. Protein and fibre at suhoor help the fast feel easier.

Some people do, and some gain because iftar becomes the biggest meal of the day. We aim to keep your strength and your routine through the month, and to stop the weight creeping up. Fat loss can continue after Eid.

Speak to your doctor before Ramadan. Fasting can change blood sugar and how some medicines work. Your coach plans training and food only after your doctor's advice, and never changes any medicine.

Any UAE time that suits you. Coaches cover every time slot, so sessions can move to after iftar or late evening for the month and move back after Eid.

Every member pays the same price as members in India, billed in Indian rupees, with no premium for living in the UAE. We share the figure on your free 30-minute call.

Indian Food in Ramadan

Iftar and suhoor, plate by plate

A starting point. Your coach sets the portions to your goal and your training.

MealWhat to eatWhy
Iftar, first2 or 3 dates, water, a bowl of soup or fruitBrings fluids and quick energy back gently
Iftar, mainChicken, fish, eggs, paneer, dal or chana, with sabzi and a measured portion of rice or rotiThe protein food is what keeps the meal from turning into snacks
Iftar, the treatOne planned samosa or a few pakoras, not a plateFried snacks add up fast when the fast ends
EveningWater through the evening, dahi or fruit if hungrySpreads fluids across the eating hours
SuhoorEggs or dahi, oats or a paratha or roti, and waterProtein and fibre make the next day easier

Example Week

Tue

Wed

Strength, full body, lighter load, after iftar

Thu

Rest, or mobility for 15 minutes

Fri

Sat

Sun

Two meals have to carry the day

From member food logs, 19 Apr to 17 Sep 2026, before any fasting month. Main meals usually reached 20 g of protein. Snacks rarely did. In Ramadan, iftar and suhoor are the main meals, and the fried snacks at iftar are the part that slips.

Share of logged meals that reached 20 g of protein
  • Dinner69%
  • Lunch62%
  • Breakfast58%
  • Snack36%

Source: A sample of member food logs from the YourTrainer app, 19 April to 17 September 2026. Members only, aggregated, using the app's food-database values for the portion logged

So the plan puts a clear protein food at iftar and at suhoor (eggs, dahi, paneer, chicken, dal or chana) and keeps the samosa or pakora to a planned portion.
