Living and working here
What JP Nagar's phases mean for a session
JP Nagar is built in nine numbered phases, and the lanes change from one phase to the next. The first call asks which phase and which street you are on.
Bannerghatta Road and Kanakapura Road carry most of the traffic through the area. If you work at IIM Bangalore or in the offices on Bannerghatta Road, an early session before the commute is usually the easiest one to keep.
The Jayaprakash Nagar metro station sits on Kanakapura Road on the Green Line. If you commute by metro, we time the session to the train you take, so the workout does not add a second trip.
Puttenahalli Lake, a restored lake of about 13 acres in the 7th Phase, is known for its birds. On a dry morning an outdoor warm-up near the lake is an option, and we move indoors when it is not.
| Where you live | Space for training | What we plan |
|---|---|---|
| Flat in a gated complex | Clubhouse gym, when it is open | Gym sessions in open hours, home sessions when it is shut |
| Independent house in an older phase | A ground floor room or a terrace | Floor work and bands, with the terrace in good weather |
| Flat near the Bannerghatta Road offices | A flat, often without a gym | Bodyweight and bands, in an early slot before the commute |
| Shared flat or PG nearby | A small room | Quiet bodyweight sessions, planned around meal times |
A week here
What a week looks like for a JP Nagar office worker
A plan for someone who starts work on Bannerghatta Road or in the city centre.
Your days, your times. You pick the days and the hours, in your own time zone, and a session can move when your week changes.
See the week day by day
- MonStrength and conditioningLive session in the 6 to 8 AM slot at home or in your building gym: mobility warm-up, strength work, stretching to finish.
- TueActive recoveryHit the step target your coach set. A short walk after dinner counts.
- WedStrength and conditioningSecond session at home in the 6 to 8 AM slot, before the commute.
- ThuActive recoveryPlay a sport you enjoy, or walk around the lake on a dry morning.
- FriHIITHIIT in the 7 to 9 PM slot if the day ends early; otherwise the morning slot.
- SatNutrition callWeekly nutrition call with your nutritionist, with your waist, hips and arms measurements and next week's plan.
- SunRestRest, and a short walk after dinner.
Sessions fall on alternate days, so your muscles get a day to recover in between.
How we coach
What your coach does in a session
At home, in your society gym or live on video, a YourTrainer coach works the same way.
- Form corrected as you moveYour coach watches every rep on video and fixes your position in real time.About 10 corrections in a typical class
- Shown first, then doneThe coach demonstrates the movement on camera, then watches you do it.67% of sessions
- Every rep counted with youYour coach counts the reps aloud and pushes you through the last ones.Every session we read
- Mobility to startJoints and spine warmed up before any load goes on.At least 82% of sessions
- Stretching to finishSessions close with stretches for the muscles you trained. At least 84% of sessions
- Knowledge you keepThe coach explains why each exercise and cue matters, so you can train well on your own.About 2 in 3 classes
- Habits for the days betweenSteps, water, sleep and protein tasks, checked at your next session.Water and steps come up in about 6 in 10 classes
Corrections, explaining why, water and steps: a sample of recorded classes, 17 Aug to 21 Oct 2026. The rest: 1-on-1 sessions recorded 1 to 21 October 2026, each read in full. Some recordings start after the warm-up, so the mobility and stretching shares are a floor.
Feeling a good stretch is fine. It shouldn't be painful.
What to eat
South Indian and Kannada staples in a JP Nagar week
Home cooking, tiffin and mess food are the usual options here, and the plan works with all of them.
- Ragi mudde with sambar or toor dal makes a filling lunch with plenty of fiber, and it suits a long day at a desk.
- Idli and dosa are good breakfasts when you watch the chutney and the oil, not the batter.
- Veg pulao or curd rice works as a light dinner before an evening session.
- If you eat mess food or tiffin, we plan around it rather than ask you to cook at home.
Honest comparison
When a local gym or a group class is the better choice in JP Nagar
JP Nagar has gyms and studios along the main roads. Here is when they fit better.
- A gym on the main road suits you if its hours fit your day and you only need machines and a timetable.
- A group class suits you if you like company and the class times fit around the office day.
- A coach at home suits you if your hours change, if a joint or a back needs a plan from the start, or if you want the food and the training planned together.
FAQ
JP Nagar personal training: questions
Do you provide personal trainers in JP Nagar?
Yes. We train across JP Nagar's nine phases at home, in your building's clubhouse gym, or live online. Tell us your phase and street when you book, and we confirm the route before the first session.
Which JP Nagar sub-areas do your trainers cover?
All nine phases, including the 2nd Phase and the 8th Phase, plus Bannerghatta Road, Gottigere, Arekere, Bilekahalli, Puttenahalli and Sarakki. Tell us your phase, and we confirm the route and the time.
I work at IIM Bangalore or the Bannerghatta Road IT offices. Can I train before or after office?
Yes. Many of our JP Nagar clients train early, from 6 to 8 AM, before the commute, or from 7 to 9 PM after it. We confirm the time with you before the first session.
I live in a gated complex in JP Nagar. Can you train me in my clubhouse gym?
Yes, if your clubhouse allows trainers. Some complexes need a booking or a trainer pass. We check this with you first, so the first slot is not lost at the gate.
What does my monthly fee cover with a JP Nagar trainer?
Coaching in JP Nagar sits in the ₹8,000 to ₹18,000 a month band, set by the 30-day slab you choose. Each slab includes a workout plan that is updated every 2 weeks, and the ₹499 trial comes first. The exact plan is set at the consultation.
I'm a busy parent in JP Nagar with only early mornings free. How long before I see results?
Consistency matters more than the hour. Energy and strength usually come first, and we review progress weekly and update the plan every 2 weeks. Visible change depends on training and food together, so we set realistic milestones with you.
Can women in Gottigere, Arekere or Bilekahalli get PCOS coaching without a Bannerghatta Road gym commute?
Yes. We have female trainers and a PCOS track. They come to your home or your building's clubhouse gym, and sessions run in the early morning or the evening.
Can I train at my apartment's clubhouse gym in JP Nagar?
Yes, that is a common choice here. Clubhouse gyms are well equipped, and your trainer builds sessions around the equipment that is there and corrects your form in real time.
