Best Online Personal Training for NRIs and Indians in 2026: 7 Options Compared

Seven online coaching options for Indians and NRIs, compared by what each company mainly does: live 1-on-1 coaching, gyms, a coach marketplace, food tracking or GLP-1 care. Facts from their own sites, October 2026.

Quick answer

YourTrainer is the end-to-end option: live 1-on-1 sessions with certified coaches, a clinical nutritionist who builds your plan around your own food, and an app that tracks your workouts, meals and progress with clear reports. For gyms and group classes in India, Cult.fit. To pick your own coach, Fittr. To track food, HealthifyMe. For doctor-led GLP-1 care, Elevate Now. For dietitian-led weight loss, Fitelo. For wellness coaching with AI, Unlimitr.

Most online coaching homepages say the same things. The real difference is what each company mainly does, and whether a real coach watches you train. This list compares seven options on exactly that.

Disclosure: We run YourTrainer, so it comes first. Every point about the other six comes from their own websites as we read them in October 2026, and they follow in alphabetical order. We do not link to them, and nothing here is meant to run them down. Each one suits someone.

1. YourTrainer (ours)

Main business: live 1-on-1 personal training with a nutritionist
What you getOne certified coach, one nutritionist, one plan. Live, in your time zone.
  • Three live 1-on-1 video sessions a week in the default plan. Your coach watches every rep on camera and corrects you as you move.
  • A dedicated nutritionist who builds your meals around the Indian food you already cook, with a check-in call every Saturday.
  • Daily meal photos reviewed by your nutritionist, and workouts, meals and progress tracked in the YourTrainer app.
  • Sessions booked in your own time zone, from early morning to evening India time. Being abroad costs nothing extra.
  • One team on one record. Your coach and nutritionist see the same app data, so training and food are planned together.

Founded in 2022 by Coach Anish in Bengaluru. 1,000+ clients coached across 15+ countries.

What actually happens in a session: our own data

We read our recorded sessions in full to check what coaches really do, not what a brochure says. No other list can give you this, because it comes from inside our own classes.

About 10Form corrections in a typical class
EverySession we read had reps counted aloud with the client
67%Of sessions, the coach demonstrated on camera first
82%+Of sessions started with a mobility warm-up
2 in 3Classes where the coach explained why each cue matters

Form corrections and explaining why: a sample of recorded classes, 17 Aug to 21 Oct 2026. The rest: 1-on-1 sessions recorded 1 to 21 October 2026, each read in full. Some recordings start after the warm-up, so the mobility share is a floor.

About 37%Of classes start before 9 am India time, the evening before in the US

Replies and check-ins: member to coach chat, 1 Jul to 21 Oct 2026. Class start times: a sample of recorded classes, 17 Aug to 21 Oct 2026.

A normal week

Mon
Strength and conditioning, live

A full session with your coach on video.

Tue
Active recovery

A step target or a sport you enjoy, checked by your coach.

Wed
Strength and conditioning, live

Loads go up when your form is ready.

Thu
Active recovery

Steps, mobility and the habits set in your last session.

Fri
HIIT, live

A shorter, harder session to finish the week.

Sat
Nutrition call

Your nutritionist reviews the week's meal photos and adjusts the plan.

Every day: mobility and stretching, plus meal photos to your nutritionist.

Who coaches you

Every coach is certified, with credentials including ACE, NSCA (CSCS), NASM and K11. Nutrition is led by a nutritionist with an M.Sc in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. Women coaches are available if you prefer one, and members with PCOS, thyroid conditions, diabetes or knee and back pain get a plan built around their condition and their doctor's advice. Members on GLP-1 medicines train with us alongside their doctor's plan, with strength work to protect muscle. See training on GLP-1 medicines.

Why it is different from the rest of this list

  • A coach watches you train, live. Not a recorded video, a group class or an app that counts calories.
  • One accountable team. You are not choosing from a marketplace. We assign the coach and nutritionist and answer for the result.
  • Training and food in one plan. The person writing your meals sees the same record as the person training you.
  • Indian food, Indian coaches, your clock. Dal, roti and paneer in the plan, and sessions set in your time zone.

Want proof? Watch members tell their own stories on video on our results page. Each story is one member's own experience. Results vary.

Price

The fee depends on how many live sessions a week you need. A free call with a coach sets the plan and the fee, in your own currency.

Not for

  • People who only want a self-paced app. Our app-only option, YourTrainer GO, has no live coach sessions.
  • People who need physiotherapy treatment. A trainer works with your physio's advice and does not replace it.

2. Cult.fit

Main business: offline gyms and group classes

Cult.fit is best known for its gyms and trainer-led group classes in Indian cities, sold through CULTPASS memberships. Some plans add live at-home workouts, yoga and meditation, and the site lists Cult Transform, a weight-loss programme. The site we read does not describe 1-on-1 personal training or an offer for people living abroad.

  • Good for: people who live near a centre and enjoy group classes.
  • Not for: people who want one coach of their own, or who live outside India.

3. Elevate Now

Main business: doctor-led GLP-1 weight-loss programme

Elevate Now describes its programme as doctor-led GLP-1 therapy for weight loss. Its team lists endocrinologists and other doctors, a health coach and a fitness coach. The programme starts with a blood test of 45 or more metabolic markers, followed by a personalised plan. The pages we read do not describe live 1-on-1 video training.

  • Good for: adults who, with a doctor, want a medical weight-loss programme built around GLP-1 medicine.
  • Not for: people who want a coach training them live. GLP-1 medicines can cost muscle along with fat, so strength training matters while you take them.

4. Fitelo

Main business: dietitian-led weight-loss programme

Fitelo builds its programme around BodyMap, its own tool that reads a blood report and a habit test. A dietitian owns the meal plan and rewrites it as you progress, and doctors review blood work for safety. Trainers run strength sessions live on screen, exercise coaches help between sessions, and yoga coaches lead live classes. The app tracks meals and water and syncs a smart scale. The first consultation is listed as free, and plan prices are not shown.

  • Good for: adults who want weight loss led by a dietitian, with live trainer sessions alongside.
  • Not for: people who want to see prices before a call.

5. Fittr

Main business: a marketplace of independent coaches

Fittr works like a marketplace. You browse and pick a coach for your goal from a large pool, and its homepage says it is "Backed by 700+ coaches, doctors, and scientists." It also sells online personal training with live video, and devices and services such as a smart ring, smart scales, lab tests and a coach certification course. Because the coaches are independent, your experience depends a lot on the coach you choose.

  • Good for: people who like to choose a coach and a style, such as yoga, zumba or strength, themselves.
  • Not for: people who want one company to assign the coach and answer for the result, or who want prices first. No client prices are shown.

6. HealthifyMe

Main business: an app for food and calorie tracking

HealthifyMe is mainly an app to track what you eat. You can snap a photo to log food, search foods with AI and ask an AI assistant called Ria. The homepage says it pairs tracking with real dietitian guidance and links to a nutritionist finder. The US homepage shows $25 a month. The pages we read do not describe live 1-on-1 training.

  • Good for: people who want to log food and calories with AI help.
  • Not for: people who want a coach watching their form.

7. Unlimitr

Main business: app-based wellness coaching with AI

Unlimitr describes itself as personal coaching that meets AI. It covers yoga and Ayurveda, fitness, nutrition, rehab and mental wellness, with medical and non-medical plans and live group sessions. It offers a free video consultation, and its FitStart Nutrition plan includes four one-on-one sessions with a clinical dietitian. An AI assistant, Genie AI, answers questions. No prices are shown.

  • Good for: people who want coaching across several areas, not only training.
  • Not for: people who want a fixed weekly live training schedule with one coach. The site does not describe one.

Five questions to ask any service before you pay

1
Will a coach watch me train live, 1-on-1?

Group classes, recorded videos and chat check-ins are not the same thing.

2
Who writes my meal plan, and how often does it change?

Ask whether that person sees your training too.

3
What times can I train, in my time zone?

Get the slots in writing if you live abroad. See how members fit time zones.

4
Who picks my coach, and what if it is not working?

In a marketplace, you pick. In an assigned team, the company should fix it.

5
What is the full monthly fee, and what does it include?

Ask after the first call, before you pay.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

On the company websites we read in October 2026, YourTrainer's plans are built on live 1-on-1 video sessions with a certified coach, three a week in the default plan. Fittr offers live video training with the coach you pick from its marketplace, and Fitelo describes trainers running sessions live on screen. Unlimitr describes coach-matched live sessions in some plans. Cult.fit's main business is gyms and group classes, HealthifyMe is mainly a food tracking app, and Elevate Now is a doctor-led GLP-1 programme; none of the three describes live 1-on-1 video training on the pages we read.

YourTrainer includes a dedicated nutritionist in every plan. Fitelo's dietitian owns the meal plan. Fittr lists a dedicated nutrition coach, though its site does not say every package includes one. Unlimitr includes clinical dietitian sessions in its FitStart Nutrition plan. HealthifyMe offers dietitian guidance through its app. Cult.fit does not describe a nutritionist on the site we read.

YourTrainer books sessions in the client's time zone, after a free call that also sets the plan. The other pages we read do not describe time-zone booking, so ask each service in writing before you pay.

YourTrainer sets the fee on a free call, based on how many live sessions a week you need. Elevate Now shows a limited-time health assessment offer on its homepage. HealthifyMe's US homepage shows $25 a month. Fittr, Fitelo, Cult.fit and Unlimitr show no client prices on the pages we read.

Not if you want a coach watching your sets. YourTrainer GO is a self-paced app with recorded workouts, progress tracking and no live coach sessions. The 1-on-1 plans include live video sessions with a coach.

Elevate Now is a doctor-led GLP-1 weight-loss programme, so it suits people who want the medicine prescribed and managed by its doctors. YourTrainer does not prescribe medicine. Members on GLP-1 medicines train with us alongside their own doctor's plan, with strength training to protect muscle while they lose weight.
