Common questions
How much sleep do adults need for fat loss?
Seven or more hours a night is the adult recommendation from sleep medicine bodies. Short sleep raises hunger and makes it harder to hold a calorie deficit, which is why a stuck scale is often a sleep problem first.
Are smartwatch calorie numbers accurate?
They are the least reliable number a watch shows. In a Stanford study of seven wrist devices, even the most accurate was off by about 27% on energy expenditure, while heart rate at rest was far more dependable.
